Bella Louise Moss December 22nd 1993 - August 23rd 2004 Kennel Club Name – Priscilla Princess This is a story of the unique relationship, Shared for 8 years by a human and a canine creature. This is the story of a dog that didn’t know how to die, how her life was ended unnecessarily following routine surgery. This story is a warning of how the simple act of chasing a squirrel can end one life and devastate another. But, most of all, this is a story of love and respect, and hope that though this partnership was tragically broken, it will be instrumental in ensuring that animals in this country can be protected from veterinary ignorance in the future. Pie Birds or Pie Funnels as they are called in England are varying sized "steam vents" that have been placed in the center of fruit and meat pies (while cooking) since Victorian Times.....surely you can remember your Grannie having one?.. Pie birds were once little kitchen gadgets, rarely costing much over £1 ($5.) But in the past 10 to 15 years, collecting has reached such proportions that many new 'birds' are on the market, not necessarily masquerading as the old ones, but as collectables in their own right. My name is Royce Allen Harmer. I was born on August 8th 1940 in Grimsby, Lincolnshire . In the past I have worked in the fishing industry, British and Norwegian Merchant Navies and the light engineering industries. I was always keen at drawing at school and was frequently complimented on my ability to produce work from memory. I started painting as a hobby in 1970 and after a spell in hospital took up painting seriously. After a sell out exhibition in 1977, I then went to North Wales to become the artist in residence at the Maes Artro Craft Village, Llanbedre. Two years later, after a couple of successful summer seasons I left to travel about the country. I finally settled in York, where I painted the still ever popular 'The Three Little Pigs' of which the first print went to Princess Diana and Prince Charles for the birth of Prince William. It was here in York where I met my lovely partner Heather, and we are still very happy after 26 years together. I have also worked as a tutor and have had two galleries in the city.
