Grief and loss I know from my own personal experience are the valleys and canyons in your life map, such incredible lows at times and yet sometimes at the bottom you find extraordinary beauty and peace.

The importance of words can never be underestimated from words of comfort, to those meant to inspire to words of wisdom and understanding. The least we can do is try to help, try to understand the suffering, try to help prepare and build a future of sorts, changed, different but still a future gradually leading to hope and peace

In 1998 I lost my Sister two years later my Father and in 2008 my Mother. 3 eulogies I have read in front of Family and Friends and then I have had to begin again. Never has it been easy and never have I not thought of the loss of others. We somehow miss the opportunity to help and teach others of how this loss feels, prior to it happening. Never to be spoken of I guess.

2004 I began this business mostly as when my Sister left us I found that the levels of understanding and service in my opinion were somewhat lacking almost as if they found it difficult to share, understand and help at such a time. I feel this is something I have to offer in that I can comprehend the despair, I can understand, listen, comfort and then help. This is why every person who contacts the website will be dealt with in utmost respect and given time, consideration and help at an extraordinarily difficult time.

I would like to nominate Mr. Toop of Memorial Memories for service with a smile.

The company specialises in cleaning and restoring headstones as well as supplying new memorials.

I contacted them to clean and renew the lettering on my Mothers headstone in Cleethorpes Cemetery.

They rang me as soon as the work was finished and this allowed me to visit with a friend the next day.

I cannot tell you how pleased I was with the work they have done. The stone looks like new and the writing is now clear and readable, which means that I again have a peaceful and harmonious visiting place, in which to remember my mother.

I have spent a lot of time in the cemetery at Cleethorpes and I have seen many changes through the years, it is so nice to know that someone cares about the history within the stones and the beauty they can bring to this place.

Let's hope that Mr Toop and his company can inspire and the cemetery will look again as it has done in the halcyon days of the past
